Genevieve Steven

2021 NZ Finalist

Genevieve grew up on the family farm in South Canterbury before heading off to Lincoln University where she studied Agricultural Science and graduated with First Class Honours.

She went on to work for ANZCO Foods and KPMG before joining Rabobank in June 2021 as an agricultural analyst within Rabobank’s food and agribusiness research team (RaboResearch). She is now part of Rabobank’s learning and development team.

In her role with Rabobank, Genevieve is responsible for the training and development needs of the Country Banking team across New Zealand. She looks ahead to the trends that are likely to shape the agricultural sector in the future and supports Rabobank’ teams to have the knowledge and skills needed to help our clients make well-informed strategic decisions.

Genevieve lives with her partner George on his family sheep, beef and deer farm in North Canterbury. She is the current Chair of Women in Agribusiness New Zealand.
