Greg Pankhurst

In 1989 Greg completed a Bachelor of Agriculture Economics at Armidale’s University of New England before commencing employment with Marubeni Japan’s “Rangers Valley Feedlot” in Glen Innes, NSW .
In 1992 as a 23 yo he headed to Indonesia to run the newly constructed Tipperary Indonesia Feedlot which imported cattle from Northern Australia. It is here where Greg had his first business deals (and strong friendship) with Zanda and the McDonald family.

In 1999, Greg and wife Rosamund teamed up with Consolidated Pastoral Co and Indonesian business partner Dicky Adiwoso to form “Pt Juang Jaya Feedlots”. They custom fed throughout Indonesia and built 2 feedlots in Sumatera with combined capacity of 30 000 head. Greg and his family called Indonesia home for over 25 years .

In 2017, Greg sold their interests in the Indonesian feedlots and started a tropical feedlot consulting business “Lampung Livestock” which works in Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, China and Malaysia as well as consulting to businesses looking to expand into Asia or Australia.

Greg speaks Bahasa Indonesia and is very much in tune with the business, cultural and religious aspects of much of South East Asia. He is an avid collector of Lampungese Wedding Dresses and ceremonial cloths – having a large collections which his family will return to Lampung in the future.
