Chloe Butcher-Herries

Chloe (32) is a sheep and beef farmer in Central Hawke’s Bay, managing two farms, a breeding block using virtual fencing and a finishing block where she’s recently expanded into arable cropping. Winner of the 2022 Ahuwhenua Trophy, she continues to build strong industry connections and is passionate about animal welfare and developing young people. Chloe works with local schools to provide on-farm experience and will host a Growing Future Farmer cadet from 2026. Recently elected to the Beef + Lamb NZ Eastern Farmer Council, she speaks publicly and online to champion positive change across the primary sector.
