Dawson Bradford, Hillcroft Farms

Dawson and wife Greta along with son Dawson, and his wife Lisa, and grandsons Jack and Michael, own and manage Hillcroft Farms a 12,500 acre property 165 kms SE of Perth in the 450mm rainfall zone.

With 20 staff, Hillcroft produces grain, exports hay, has founded and developed the UltraWhite non-shearing sheep breed, runs a 10,000 commercial, non-shearing, self-replacing UltraWhite prime lamb flock and an UltraWhite seed stock Stud and a 1400 sow intensive piggery selling over 33,000 baconers per year.

Dawson is an interim Director and was Director of the WA Meat Marketing Coop for 20 years, 15 years as Chairman. He holds an honorary Doctorate of Science from Murdoch University for his services to the sheep and pig industry and the University. Was inducted into the WA Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2014 and received the Order of Australia Medal in 2021 in recognition of his services to community and the livestock industries of WA.

Dawson currently sits on the Agricultural Advisory Board of the University of Western Australia.
