Wayne Langford

Dairy Farmer, Federated Farmers President and Meat the Need Co-Founder

Wayne Langford, his wife Tyler and three teenage boys are dairy farmers from Golden Bay, milking 250 cows once-a-day. 

Wayne sits as the National President for Federated Farmers, NZ's rural advocacy body with over 12500 members. He is also known as the YOLOFarmer (You Only Live Once), a social media platform with a focus around mental health and telling a positive Ag story.  In 2020 Wayne co-founded Meat the Need, a farmer led charity that connects the dots between farmers who want to donate some their produce to families in need. It's been a huge success providing millions of meals, packed with protein that is so desperately needed. 

Wayne and his family are heavily involved in their community through both environmental initiatives and sport.
