Co-founded NewFish, LILO Desserts and Future Food Aotearoa

Alex is a New Zealander with an international background in food, ventures and agriculture. Alex co-founded NewFish, LILO Desserts and Future Food Aotearoa to drive food systems change and grow nutritious food technologies.

Previously Alex set up and grew Impossible Foods across New Zealand and across APAC. Alex chairs Future Food Aotearoa, a not-for-profit movement driving advancement in New Zealand's foodtech ecosystem, and sits on the Te Hono steering committee.

Alex is a member of Class 15 at THNK School Amsterdam and previously completed a dual MBA at Tsinghua University-MIT on Rotary Ambassadorial and Chinese Government Scholarship. Recognised as a 40 under 40 alumni of University of Auckland, Alex helped found the New Zealand Business Roundtable in China, was a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, was awarded AGMARDT's Leadership Scholarship, and advises on New Zealand Government MPI food policy initiatives.
