Jarek Kowcza, Senior Economist Westpac Group

Jarek joined the Westpac Group as a Senior Economist in 2021. He works across several businesses, including St.George Bank, BankSA, Bank of Melbourne, Westpac Business Bank, and BT.

Jarek covers a range of topics and provides insights on the economy. This includes analysis and reporting of current economic conditions and the economic outlook.

Prior to this, Jarek worked for The Treasury in Canberra for over eight years, where he specialised in tax and macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, and banking and financial system policy.

Jarek holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Finance double degree from the University of Adelaide.
