Anna Speer, Managing Director Greenstock

Anna was appointed Managing Director of Woolworths new stand-alone protein business Greenstock in April 2021.

With nearly 20 years’ experience in the global agribusiness industry, Anna is a collaborative leader with a strong track record in operational excellence, opening new markets, and building market credibility through innovative products that ensure competitiveness. Greenstock was created to work with primary producers and suppliers to craft the combined pork, beef and lamb needs of Woolworths Group’s retail, international, wholesale and foodservices businesses.

Anna is leading the transformation of Greenstock’s business model into a strategic multi-channel protein specialist, while delivering high quality, sustainable and strong animal welfare solutions and long-term partnerships for Greenstock’s customers, partners, farmers and team. We aspire to work with our suppliers and industry to lead protein agribusiness to a better future for all.

Prior to this role, Anna was Chief Operating Officer of Australia’s largest cattle and beef company - the Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) where she reshaped and optimised its supply chain, implemented the company’s first sustainability strategy and led the team to strong growth through a number of challenging seasons and difficult trading periods.

Anna also spent time as the CEO at AuctionsPlus, which is Australia’s largest online livestock marketplace.

Anna has a Global Executive Masters BA, is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Board Director of Agribusiness Australia and a graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.
